Senior fire officer said, the incident occurred at around 4.30 pm while Parameshari was busy cooking food using an LPG cylinder connected to a bigger stove.

She tried to light it and fire broke out due to the leakage and she was caught in fire.Six persons close to her were also injured while others escaped narrowly as they were on the first floor of the house .

The injured Parameshwari was rushed to the hospital where Parameshwari was declared dead.

Since the house was small, the family had kept the gas stove in a room to cook a big meal,a officer said .

The police suspect that the gas regulator must not have been fitted properly which could have resulted in the gas leakage and caused the mishap.

Parameshwari’s father Kashinath had passed away a few days ago due to health issues. The family held the ritual at their house and also invited their relatives, the police officer added.

The KS Layout police have registered a case and awaiting FSL reports further investigation is on .
