Six including two Rowdy-Sheeter,Recovery agent, arrested by Bydarahalli police for kidnapping cab driver

The West Division police of Byadarahalli police on Friday arrested a gang of six who abducted a 27-year-old cab driver and tortured him to pressurise his sister to return and reunite with one of the accused with whom she had broke up.

The accused has been identified as,Srinivas@Boot Seena,Shivakumar,Akash,Hucchegowda, Gangadhar and Pratap.

Senior officer told media persons,Based on the complaint,a team of police led by Inspector Ravikumar RG,and his team under the able leadership of ACP, Kodandarama,the team swung into action and visited the crime scene and after analysing the CCTV footage and with the help of technical inputs the team track down the accused in the outskirt of the city and arrested the accused and rescued Venkatesh safely from their clutches.

During investigation all the six accused confessed to the crime and it was revealed that one of the accused Srinivasa and Shivakumar is a Rowdy-Sheeter of Basaveshwaranagar police station and is working as a recovery agent had a live in relationship with a woman (Kavya (23) ) .

The couple had a fight recently and he broke up with him and returned to her parent’s house. Enraged by this Srinivasa along with his five associates abducted Venkatesh,a cab driver and brother of his live in partner on Thursday night while he was returning home.

The accused took him in the cab in the outskirt of the city tortured him and called the woman threatening to kill Venkatesh if she did not return.

The accused also beat up Venkatesh to make the woman hear the screams to pressurise her to return.

Fearing that Venkatesh would be killed, the woman approached the police and filed a complaint.

The inspector Ravikumar swung into action and with the help of mobile number of Srinivasa,the police track down the accused and arrested them.

The accused have been booked for kidnap, assault and criminal intimidation and remanded to judicial custody.

After the kidnapping case of Bydarahalli the DCP West,Dr Sanjeev M Patil said that in the west Division there are 32 vehicle seizing agency and most of the seizure are Rowdy-Sheeters who will be in outskirts of the city to seize the vehicle by threatening them they are indulged in seizing vehicle.All the private agency company is under radar and a thorough check will be done on the employees he added.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Kamal Pant has appreciated Addl CP West,Sandeep Patil,DCP West,Dr Sanjeev M Patil,ACP, Kodandarama,PI,Ravikumar RG and his whole team who has done a exemplary and commendable job in rescuing the cab driver and all the arresting the accused in the case a suitable reward will be given to the whole team he added.
