BBMP Chief Commissioner,Gaurav Gupta has instructed all the TV cable operators,Internet service providers and affiliates to clear the unauthorised TV cables,OFC cables and other cables within one month from the date of the memorandum issued in this regard.
The Karnataka High Court,on 3rd August and 24 August 2021,had issued a direction stating that TV cable operators, Internet service providers and other affiliated companies in BBMP limits must clear unauthorised TV and OFC cables dangling from electric poles, trees, and on the pedestrian tracks.
In case of failure to clear such unauthorised cables,they will be removed without any notice and appropriate legal action will be taken against such unauthorised owner/association, said the Chief Commissioner in his statement.
