Guwahati:- Mahatma Gandhi Global Peace Forum celebrated International Day of Peace 2020 in Guwahati on Saturday 21 September. The celebration was held at Taruun Sangha Pothi Bhoral, Boripara, Maligaon of Guwahati city . Members of the forum recited poetry, sung peace songs peace talk, oath taking, and interfaith Prayer Meeting were held. Dr. Monojit Singha , Founder & Chairman of Mahatma Gandhi Global Peace Forum presented his views on the importance of maintaining peace and harmony in the society and laid stress on how each and everyone can play an important role in achieving it.
Spritual leader Pastor Peter Thong of Naga Christian Fellowship, Guwahati, Monk Khemananda Bhikhu of Pandu Buddhist Association, Imam Sharif Uddin ahmed of Garigaon Masjid, Gobinda Maharaj of Vedanta Godiya Math & Mr. Nripendra Bhattacharya, PRO of N.F.Railway was present in the interfaith prayer meeting for world peace and Conferred with prestigious “Ambassador of Peace” award by the Mahatma Gandhi Global Peace Forum on the occassion of Peace day.
