Being Positive in Pandemic

I guess most of us are going through various emotional states as Covid 19 continues its global impact. We have hunkered down for a while already with all schools and collages closed, mandated to work from home arrangements and every day to day thing. It’s tough to feel in control when everything else is out of your control. The most common emotions faced by all is fear. Here are some ways to keep ourselves positive and over come this fear. Be busy, have a regular activity and be engaged in any work at home.

Create memoeries with your family members which is left when you are busy with your day to day work. Having family time on vacation is something good but its rare when we get such time to spent with our loved ones. Playing games, sharing experiece and creating a way forward for future activites can be done with perfectoin during this time. Keep yourself away from all the negatives thought, avoid watching same negative news again and again. Who you choose to spend your time with and the input you get from further away like the TV, the internet and magazines will have a huge effect on your outlook.To be able to stay positive it is essential to have influences in your life that support you and lift you up instead of dragging you down.So carefully consider what you let into your mind.

Balance your social media consumption.Social media might appear to be filled with bad news, but for many it is also a key way to stay updated and connected with friends and loved ones. Keeping your phone out of your bedroom, or self-imposing screen-free time, can help you to balance the negativity with the benefits social media brings. Reading and listening music works wonder. An old activity or forgotten hobby can be cherished during this time. Eat well and keep your self hydrated. Being physical active is equally important. Any form of workout which can be done indoor will keep you physically fit and mentally healthy.

Handling emotional problems is equally important during this time. Breathing exercise for few minutes may help to calm down. Don’t obsess over being happy or happiness. Actively pursuing happiness can lead to reverse effect. For one thing the more we focus on happiness the less we focus on happiness around us. Focusing on small things is wise then to spend time on searching for big happiness. Focus on blessings instead of your issues.Give yourself a break. Don’t add to the extrinsic stress levels of the health crisis by adding pressure on yourself.
