A special session on mental health and stress management was conducted for officers and staff of Yelahanka,Vidyaranyapura,Kodigehalli,and Yelahanka New Town police stations under the Northeast Division.
The session,led by well-being officer Mrs.Wazeera Begum,focused on key psychological challenges faced by police personnel,including occupational stress, handling emergency situations,unpredictable duty hours, and maintaining a balance between professional and personal life.
A team of police personnel,comprising both men and women,underwent training aimed at addressing these challenges.
Emphasis was laid on creating awareness about the impact of prolonged stress on physical and mental health.
Participants were trained in techniques to remain calm and focused during critical situations,along with strategies to build emotional resilience,manage anger, and improve decision-making skills.
The programme also highlighted the importance of teamwork,communication,and peer support within the force.
Practical demonstrations of breathing exercises, relaxation methods,and meditation techniques were conducted to help personnel effectively manage stress in their daily routines.

Police personnel actively participated in the session by sharing their experiences and discussing practical solutions to challenges encountered in the line of duty.
Officials said such initiatives are crucial in improving the mental well-being of police personnel, boosting morale, and enhancing overall efficiency.
The session concluded with a message encouraging all personnel to prioritise their mental health and seek timely assistance when needed,contributing to a healthier and more effective policing system.
