Karnataka Chief Minister D.K.Shivakumar on Monday termed the arrest of Congress leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi and MP Priyanka Gandhi as”unfortunate” and said the party was fighting for the cause of the country’s students.
Speaking to reporters in New Delhi,he demanded that the issue be discussed in Parliament.
“The future of the country lies with its youth and students. It is our constitutional responsibility to protect them and secure justice,”the Chief Minister said.
Stating that the Congress was not intimidated by the arrests, CM D.K.Shivakumar said the party would continue its fight until justice was ensured for the youth and students of the country.
