Continuing its crackdown on habitual offenders and organised crime,the Bengaluru City Police have detained notorious rowdy sheeter Srinivasa Gowda alias ‘Havali Seena’ (26) of the Hanumanthanagar Police Station limits under the Goonda Act and lodged him in Ballari Central Prison.
Senior officer told reporters,Srinivasa Gowda is a habitual offender involved in multiple criminal activities and was known for disturbing public peace and tranquillity.
The detention was executed by the Organized Crime Squad (East) of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) on July 15, 2026, as part of preventive measures to maintain law and order in the city.
Police said that as part of their ongoing drive against rowdy elements,110 rowdy sheeters have been externed from Bengaluru city limits so far in 2026.
In addition,action under the Karnataka Control of Organized Crimes Act (KCOCA) has been initiated against 34 members of five organised criminal gangs.
The Bengaluru City Police said they will continue taking stringent legal action,including invoking the Goonda Act, externment orders and KCOCA,against habitual offenders and organised crime syndicates to ensure public safety and effectively prevent crime in the city.
