Triple murder:Man Dies By Suicide After Killing His Mother,Grandmother and Father-in-law In Kottigepalya

Three members of a family were found dead at their
residence in Kottigepalya under the Kamakshipalya police station limits on Saturday morning.

A fourth family member,a 34-year-old man,was also found dead at the house in what police believe to be a suspected suicide.

Senior officer with SOCO and FSL team rushed to spot and after inspecting the area and collecting details the officer told reporters that the deceased have been identified as Mangalamma (55),Nanjamma(65) and Satish (50).The fourth deceased has been identified as Prashanth (34).

During preliminary investigation suggests that Prashanth is suspected to have fatally attacked the three family members before his death.

The exact sequence of events and the motive are yet to be established, and investigators are examining all available evidence.

He further said Prashanth,a driver by profession lived with his parents,grandmother and maternal uncle.

Mangalamma was employed in a garment factory, Nanjamma worked as a civic worker and Satish was a plumber.

DCP West,Yathish N told reporters that the investigation is ongoing and all aspects of the case are being examined.He added that investigators are also looking into reports that Prashanth had experienced mental health issues.

The Kamakshipalya police have registered a case of murder and sucide for further investigation.

It was suspected that the prashanth had attacked his mother grandmother and uncle with chopper before ending life.We are yet to ascertain the sequences of events and motive of the murder.

The incident came to light when neighbours from first floor alerted the police stating that they heard arrange noises from inside the house.

By the time police reached and opened the door they found two bodies of women with multiple injuries found dead in a pool of blood while the third body inside the room and prashanth found hanging.

Prashanth’s father,Chikkanna,said there had been no argument in the family on the previous night and that he had left home for work on Saturday morning.He said he was unable to explain what had led to the incident.He further said that he would have been killed if he had stayed back “.

Kamakshipalya police have registered a case and are continuing their investigation.The circumstances surrounding the deaths will be determined based on the findings of the investigation and forensic examination.
