*Those who once contested against me are now standing with me.
*Let us forget our differences and work together for the good of the constituency.
*Should I be Chief Minister for only two years..?.
Chief Minister D K Shivakumar today sent out a clear message to the BJP and JDS party workers of Bengaluru South district that another D K Shivakumar would not emerge from the district and that they need to work with him to develop the constituency.

“Is it possible for the BJP and the JD(S) to create another D K Shivakumar in this district (Bengaluru South)? Certainly not.
The workers of the BJP and the Janata Dal must understand this clearly,”he said while addressing gratitude meetings across Kanakapura constituency. He was visiting the home constituency for the first time after becoming the CM.
“Even if you don’t agree to anyone else, your own conscience must agree.P.G.R.Sindhia,Vishwanath, Narayana Gowda, and U.K.Swamy had all contested the elections against me.
Now they are standing with me,on my side. Are they fools? No—they have joined hands with me because they know another Shivakumar will not come along, and because they want what is good for the people,”he said.
*Let us forget our differences and work together for the good of the constituency.
“If you have any ill-will among yourselves, forget it.Let us all work together in unity—this is the message I am conveying to the leaders of other parties through this occasion,”he said.
Should I be Chief Minister for only two years..?
“Our lives are not permanent. It is the legacy we leave behind that are permanent.Should I be CM for just two years? With your blessings,we must win again in 2028.
For that, let us all work together in unity.Let us govern well and leave behind a lasting legacy,”he urged.
