Chief Minister D K Shivakumar today said that he had spoken to Ramalinga Reddy and the differences have been resolved.
“Ramalinga Reddy is my friend.I have spoken to him,and all problems have been resolved.
Under no circumstances will I accept his resignation,” he said while speaking to reporters after offering tribute to Devaraj Urs on his death anniversary at Vidhana Soudha.
When asked about meeting Ramalinga Reddy on Friday night, he said,”Don’t needlessly trouble yourselves and cook up all sorts of stories. It is true that he had sent his resignation over WhatsApp. That matter has now been resolved.”
*Nomination papers for 3 Rajya Sabha and 5 Legislative Council candidates:
“Today we have filed the nomination papers for all five candidates.Three candidates have been fielded for the Rajya Sabha election and five for the Legislative Council election.
Yesterday,AICC President Mallikarjuna Kharge filed his nomination.Congress national spokesperson Pawan Khera has been fielded from our state.
Along with him,we have also given an opportunity to AICC secretary and youth leader Mansoor Ali Khan.For all five Legislative Council seats,including the KPCC President,the opportunity has been given to Congress workers,”he said.
*Let us set aside politics and work for the welfare of the state’s people:
When asked about PM Narendra Modi’s statement that the CM change in Karnataka happened against the backdrop of public anger toward Siddaramaiah’s government, he said,”PM Narendra Modi has wished me well. I thank him.I will go and meet him respectfully.
He need not play politics,and we need not play politics. For the welfare of the people of the state,let us all come together and do whatever work needs to be done.”
