The state government has completely failed in detecting drugs and terrorist activities, and the Congress government under Siddaramaiah has lost all moral authority to govern the state, alleged former Chief Minister and MP Basavaraj Bommai.
He accused the government of protecting anti-nationals.
Speaking to a private news channel in New Delhi,he accused the government of protecting anti-nationals, and said that law and order in Karnataka has completely deteriorated.
The police department has lost control over criminal elements.Just last week, the Maharashtra police came to Mysuru and seized drugs worth around Rs.394 crore.
Yet,Home Minister claimed he had no information regarding the drug operation.
He further said that a Gujarat ATS team came and arrested a woman who is a member of Al-Qaeda in the Indian subcontinent.Al-Qaeda has established itself in India and operates from Pakistan.
This woman was recruiting for the Al-Qaeda organization in the subcontinent. It was the Gujarat ATS team that arrested her.
What are the Karnataka police doing? The state’s Home Minister only talks about suspending beat constables and inspectors.
This is a complete failure of the state government and the Home Department. He (the minister) himself is responsible, he added.
