A couple sustained severe injuries in a LPG cylinder exploded at their apartment on David road in Pulakeshinagar in the early hours of Wednesday.
Neighbours of the apartment woke up to the explosion sound at around 5 am and rushed to the help of the couple Siddesh and his wife Cilara Jacob.
The duo sustained severe burn injuries rushed to the hospital,before alerting the police.
The impact of the explosion was so severe that the cylinder and the kitchen area of the apartment situated on the first floor facing the road was damaged.Even the window grills shattered and threw away on the road.
The Pulakeshinagar police along with the fire and emergency service personnel rushed to the spot and conducted investigations .
The officials suspect leakage could be the reason and further investigating to ascertain the cause of the mishap.
