he High Grounds police on Tuesday registered an FIR against city based educational consultant for cheating a 30-year-old micro biologist offering Doctor of Medicine (MD)seat in Washington University of USA.
The FIR also also booked against two others who introduced the complainant to the Education consultant runs his office from BEL road .
In his complainant,Chennuri Suresh,30,working as micro biologist at Gandhi hospital in Hyderabad met Papishetty Ravi Venkataraman,who came as patient for consultation.
Papishetty advised him to pursue MD in Foreign university to earn more money and offered to help him get admission in foreign university through his friend Bandireddy Ramesh Male Reddy,owns Hyrianuni Global Agency,on New BEL Road.
The complainant spoke to Bandireddy over the phone to inquire about the admission and even met him at his office in November 2022.
As per the discussions,the complainant paid a total of ₹ 25 lakh towards admission and other fee.The complainant even visited US couple of times to inquire about the admission but it was rejected finally due to non payment of fee.
When the complainant confronted,the accused threatened him with dire consequences.Based on the complaint,the police have registered a case a case of cheating,criminal breach of trust and criminal intimidation against the accused for further investigation.
