*Everyone should come together to find a solution to the problem.
*We will not make political criticisms or condemnations; there are others for that.
*Didn’t Kumaraswamy say he would dissolve the party if he lost the election?.
“I have sought time to meet the Prime Minister to discuss the issues of sugarcane growers and the drought situation.
I will appeal to everyone, including opposition leaders, to join an all-party delegation to meet the Prime Minister.
Opposition leaders had earlier said they would come, and I believe they will come now as well,”stated CM D.K. Shivakumar.
D.K.Shivakumar was responding to questions from the media at the Mysuru Airport on Sunday.
When asked about the sugarcane growers’ protest, he said, “I have spoken to the farmers regarding this issue, and I appeal to them once again through the media to call off the protest.
Everyone must sit down and find a solution to the problem. There is no meaning in playing politics or speaking against anyone on this matter. Others may do so, but I will not.
Having taken on the responsibility of the state’s Chief Minister, I should not merely level accusations; I leave that to others.
Our objective is the well-being of the farmers and the public. The livelihood of farmers is what matters to us.”
When asked about the statement that the state government should also contribute funds toward the support price for sugarcane, the CM said,”Let us discuss this. There are all types of farmers in the state, and we must think about everyone.”
Responding to a question about a suspected terrorist caught in Kalaburagi, he said, “I will give complete independence to the police to gather information and conduct an investigation. We should not make political statements on such matters.”
When asked about statements by BJP and JDS leaders predicting a coalition government in the state in 2028, he remarked, “May God bless them. Didn’t they say they would dissolve the party if they didn’t get a majority? .
They didn’t demonstrate that by doing it. Look at what they said about the BJP and the RSS—everything is in the flashback.”
Gratitude to the people of Mysuru:
“The people of Karnataka, especially the people of Mysuru, are extending great support to Dasara. I express my gratitude to them.
I request people across the state visiting Mysuru to stay until night and enjoy the illumination. The air show faced issues due to rain. The district administration has informed us that if the clouds cooperate tomorrow, the air show will take place. I also intend to witness it,” he said.
Arrival of Kerala and Telangana Chief Ministers:
“The Chief Ministers of Kerala and Telangana are arriving. The Andhra Pradesh government had also invited me,but I could not go there. I had intended to go there to discuss water issues, but I had to leave to meet the sugarcane farmers,”he added.
