KOLKATA,Maha Sasthi,Kalindi:The sacred homecoming of Ma Durga on Maha Sasthi brought a moment of pride and festivity to Kalindi,as Dr.Sharadwat Mukherjee, Health Minister of West Bengal,visited the famed Puja Mandap of the Kalindi Plot Owners Association.
This is not just another para puja.The Kalindi Plot Owners Association carries a rich and illustrious legacy.
Since its inception,the Association has been delightedly chaired and guided by a galaxy of eminent personalities —renowned Professors,Judges,IT professionals,eminent Doctors,Army Personnel,celebrated Journalists and leading Businessmen. 
It is an association built by educationists and intellectuals,where culture,education and community service have always gone hand-in-hand.And that legacy continues.
On this holy occasion of Maa Durga’s homecoming to Bengal,the Association once again proved that its tradition is not just about rituals,but about enlightenment and togetherness.
The pandal, with its elegant and tasteful decoration, reflected the refined aesthetic sense of its members.
Dr.Mukherjee was accorded a warm reception by the office bearers and senior members of the Association. He offered anjali at the feet of Maa Durga and interacted warmly with the residents.
In his brief address,the Health Minister said,”Kalindi Plot Owners Association is an example for Kolkata.Where else do you find Judges,Professors,Doctors,Journalists and entrepreneurs coming together on one platform to celebrate our culture?.
This is the real Bengal — educated,united and rooted in tradition.
The legacy of educationists that this association has nurtured for decades is truly inspiring.I congratulate them and pray for everyone’s good health this Puja.”
The present committee,while preserving the intellectual heritage of its founders,has added new energy with modern arrangements,health awareness measures and community participation,earning praise from visitors.
On Maha Sasthi evening,the mandap witnessed a huge footfall of locals and well-wishers who were delighted to see the Health Minister amidst them,sharing smiles and Shubho Sharodiya wishes.
The Association’s President stated,”We are humbled.Our founding members were stalwarts of society.We are just trying to carry forward their vision—a puja that is not loud,but soulful;not just celebration,but culture.”
With the blessings of Maa Durga and the presence of the Health Minister,Kalindi Plots has begun this year’s Durga Puja on a most auspicious note.
