Gym trainer Nandan murder:Drugs,assault at anniversary party under police scanner

The investigation into the murder of gym trainer Nandan within the jurisdiction of Amruthahalli police has intensified,with the preliminary probe pointing to heavy consumption of drugs and alcohol,an alleged sexual assault attempt and a violent confrontation during a gym anniversary party.
Nandan was working as a personal gym trainer for Anush Shetty,who had organised an anniversary party at his flat in Kempapura and invited Nandan and four other trainers from the gym.
According to police sources,those present at the party allegedly consumed drugs and alcohol in large quantities.
During a spot inspection,police reportedly found articles suspected to be linked to drug consumption.
Investigators are also examining the circumstances in which the gathering turned violent.
Bite marks found on victim’s body;
Police sources said that during the late-night gathering, when those present were allegedly under the influence of intoxicants,one of the accused,identified as Vishwanath,allegedly tried to kiss Nandan.
It is further alleged that some of those present attempted to sexually assault Nandan,following which a heated confrontation broke out between Vishwanath and the victim.
Several deep bite marks were reportedly found on different parts of Nandan’s body, raising questions about what exactly transpired during the party.
Police are investigating whether the injuries were sustained during a physical struggle and whether a sexual assault was attempted.
The confrontation allegedly escalated, during which Nandan suffered a severe blow to the head.He was subsequently taken to hospital, where he was declared dead.
Police question party organiser:
Police are also examining the statement given by Anush Shetty, who reportedly told investigators that he had invited everyone to the party but was unaware of what happened later as he had gone to sleep in another room.
Investigators are questioning how a violent incident could have taken place inside the flat without the organiser knowing about it.
Anush Shetty,Vishwanath and others who were present at the party have reportedly been taken into custody for questioning.
Amruthahalli police are awaiting the final post-mortem report, which is expected to help establish the exact cause of death and the nature of the injuries.
Investigators are also examining forensic evidence and the statements of all those present at the party before determining the sequence of events and fixing responsibility.
