In An alleged moral policing incident has come to light in Lakkoor village under the Dabaspet Police Station limits in Nelamangala taluk of Bengaluru Rural district.
A Hindu youth was allegedly assaulted by a group of Muslim men for accompanying a Muslim woman.
According to the complaint,the victim,identified as Yashwanth,was walking with muslim woman when three men—identified as Tahreek Pasha,Sohel Pasha,and Syed Kareem—allegedly stopped them,abused Yashwanth verbally,and assaulted him.
The complainant has further alleged that the accused recorded a video of the assault on their mobile phones and circulated it in multiple WhatsApp groups.The video reportedly spread widely on social media.
The accused caught the couple,called the family of the girl and assaulted the boy and humiliated the girl .
Following the circulation of the video,the woman is reported to have become severely distressed and allegedly attempted suicide by consuming poisonShe is said to have survived the attempt.
The woman has filed a complaint against the accused at the Dabaspet Police Station.Police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
The Dabaspete police have registered a case based on the complaint and efforts are on to track down the accused.
