A four-year-old boy sustained critical injuries after accidentally falling from the first floor of a clothing store while playing at a shopping complex in Chikkaballapur city. The incident was captured on a CCTV camera.
The child,identified as Gagan Sindhu, had accompanied his parents, Narayanaswamy and Madhu,to purchase clothes at Pillappa Complex.
According to preliminary information,the parents were busy shopping when the child was playing near the first-floor corridor.
While holding onto the safety grill,he reportedly lost his balance and fell to the ground floor.
The family hails from Gollaradoddi village in Chikkaballapur taluk.
The seriously injured child was initially rushed for treatment and has since been shifted to a hospital in Bengaluru,where he remains in critical condition.
Police are verifying the circumstances surrounding the incident,while CCTV footage is being examined as part of the inquiry.
