Bengaluru Police draw firm line on IPL victory celebrations on May 31;Crackers, stunts,road blockades,LED Screening to prevent crowd prohibited in Bengaluru

With the Tata IPL 2026 final scheduled to be held on May 31,Bengaluru City Police have issued a public advisory urging citizens to maintain peace,discipline,and public safety during and after the match celebrations.

As Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have reached the final of the tournament,police officials said special precautions are being taken to avoid untoward incidents and traffic disruptions across the city.

According to the advisory,the public has been instructed not to engage in celebrations in public places after the final match result is announced.

Authorities have also prohibited the installation of LED walls facing roads without prior permission from the concerned departments.

Police further stated that screens should not be installed outside malls,pubs,or other establishments in a manner visible to the public for live match viewing.

The advisory strictly prohibits bursting crackers and the use of dangerous materials.Citizens have been urged to maintain peace and discipline in crowded places and cooperate with police personnel.

Traffic police instructions must be followed at all times, officials said.

Activities such as bike rallies,over-speeding,performing stunts,unnecessary honking,and blocking roads have also been banned.

The police warned against consumption of alcohol in public places,creating disturbances,engaging in fights, or behaving indecently during celebrations.

People have also been advised not to share provocative posts,hateful messages,or rumours on social media platforms.

The advisory cautioned fans against provoking or insulting supporters of other teams under the pretext of the match result,as such actions may lead to clashes.

Bengaluru City Police appealed to the public to act responsibly and reminded citizens that maintaining law and order,public peace,and safety is the collective responsibility of everyone.
