Scrap trader allegedly murdered over illicit relationship with married woman in Bengaluru Five including woman arrested by Bytarayanapura police

Scrap trader was allegedly murdered over an illicit relationship with a married woman in Bengaluru’s Shamanna Garden area under Byatarayanapura police station limits.

The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Tousif (27),a resident of Beedi Colony in Ramanagara district.

Police have detained five persons,including the woman’s husband Akthar and another accused Imran,for questioning in connection with the case.

Senior officer told reporters that,Tousif, who worked as a scrap trader,had been in a relationship with the woman for the past eight years.

Four years ago,she was married to a man from Shamanna Garden.

However,Tousif reportedly continued to visit and meet her frequently even after her marriage.

The woman’s husband had allegedly warned Tousif several times,but he continued the relationship.

Unable to forget his lover,Tousif allegedly came to meet her again on the night of May 24 at Shamanna Garden, where he was caught by the woman’s husband.

Police said the husband,along with four others,allegedly assaulted Tousif brutally and later sent him back to Ramanagara.

Tousif had sustained severe internal injuries and later died in hospital while undergoing treatment.

The body has been sent for postmortem examination, and the exact cause of death will be confirmed after the report is received.

Based on a complaint filed by Tousif’s family members, Byatarayanapura police have registered a case and taken up further investigation.
