Peenya elevated Flyover Shut for 3 Days for Load Testing in Bengaluru

Traffic movement on the Peenya Elevated Flyover along National Highway 4 will be completely restricted for three days to facilitate final load testing after completion of cable repair works.

According to official release,the restriction will be in force from 5:00 AM on May 5th to 11:00 AM on May 8, 2026,within the limits of the Peenya Traffic Police Station.

The closure will cover key stretches from Kennametal Widia Upper Ramp to SRS Down Ramp and from CMTI Junction to Parle-G Toll via the flyover.

Movement of all types of vehicles will be prohibited on the elevated corridor during this period.

The traffic police said the load testing is essential to ensure the structural integrity and safety of the flyover before it is reopened to the public.

Diversions Announced

For vehicles travelling from Nelamangala towards Bengaluru,motorists will be diverted near Kennametal Factory and directed via the service road below the flyover through 8th Mile,Dasarahalli,Jalahalli Cross, Peenya Police Station Junction,SRS Junction and Goraguntepalya.

Similarly,commuters travelling from CMTI towards Nelamangala will have to take the service road route via SRS Junction,Peenya Police Station Junction,Jalahalli Cross,Dasarahalli, 8th Mile and Parle-G Toll.

Traffic authorities have urged the public to cooperate and follow the temporary arrangements to ensure smooth vehicular movement and avoid congestion in the affected stretches of Bengaluru.
