The Bengaluru Police Commissioner has ordered strict internal checks after multiple cases of policemen being linked to criminal activities.

Senior officers have been told to identify staff with doubtful integrity,monitor them closely and initiate disciplinary action.

Amid rising instances of police personnel involved in illegal activities,the city police chief has directed all units to conduct immediate introspection and remove such officers from sensitive posts.

Strict action has been ordered against those misusing their uniform.

Concerned over recent incidents of police misconduct, the Bengaluru Police Commissioner has asked DCPs and station heads to review all staff,track suspicious behaviour and file detailed reports.

Zero tolerance for errant police personnel has been emphasised.

The city police have launched an internal clean-up drive after reports of officers aiding criminals and engaging in illegal acts.
