Meghdoot Bhawan,
As a part of the celebration of National Postal Week, Philately Day was celebrated with enthusiasm on 11th October, 2022 by Delhi Circle, Department of Posts at Meghdoot Bhawan, New Delhi. Highlights of the celebrations are as follows:-
i. On the occasion, Meghdoot Gallery was inaugurated by Shri Alok Sharma, Director General (Postal Services) in the august presence of Ms. Smita Kumar Addl. DG (Coordination), Ms. Manju Kumar, Chief Postmaster General, Delhi Postal Circle and other officers of the Department.
Meghdoot Gallery showcases various products and services of the Department along with its rich historical, social & cultural values through artifacts and stamps issued by the Department of Posts.
ii. As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, AMRITPEX-2023 National Philatelic Exhibition is being organized by the Department from 11th February to 15th February, 2023 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi which will be centered around themes of : Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and New India, Youth Power (Yuva Shakti), Women Power (Nari Shakti) Achievements@75, Nature and Wildlife & Culture and History : Celebrating India’s Unity in Diversity. AMRITPEX-2023 Logo was launched by Director General (Postal Services). An informative brochure on AMRITPEX-2023 was also released on the occasion.
iii. To mark the occasion, a set of five Special Covers on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav was also released by the Director General (Postal Services).
