The Parappana Agrahara police on Monday arrested a 26-year-old delivery executive of a watch showroom for stealing expensive branded wrist watches from the place where he was working,worth over ₹10 lakh .
The accused has been identified as Sheshadri Reddy,a high school drop out from Andhra Pradesh had joined the showroom to work a fortnight ago and used to steal the watches while going home from work after hoodwinking the security staff .
The accused would then sell the watches to passers-by for a throwaway prices and many of them he had kept it in his house to sell it later.
The theft came to light during audit and the management verified the CCTV footage to identify the accused.
Based on the complaint,the police arrested Reddy and recovered the watches from his rented accommodation in Hongasandra .
