Woman booked by cyber crime police for making extortionate online shopping using her husband account amounting over Rs.28 Lakhs

The cyber crime police have registered an FIR against woman for making extortionate online shopping using her husband account amounting over Rs.28 lakh.

Based on the complaint from the husband,a city based doctor,the cyber crime police have registered a case charging the woman and her parents under IT Act and also under section 61 (criminal conspiracy),318 (cheating)319(impersonation) under BNS for further investigation.

According to the complaint,the doctor married the accused also a doctor,in march 2023.Three months later the couple had opened a joint account in a private bank .

The accused had accessed his devise (samsung S 7 tablet )and between June 2023 to November 2024,she was on shopping spree and purchased 2500 products online worth Rs.28,74,545.42 for her parents .

This according to the complaint amounts to criminal conspiracy to cheat him by accessing his accounts to make the purchases.
