Bengaluru:Hoodi Lake,located in Survey No.79 of Hoodi village in Bengaluru East Taluk,Mahadevapura Zone, spans a total area of 15 acres and 10 guntas.
Of this, approximately 14.5 guntas are currently under private encroachment.The Revenue Department has identified these encroachments and provided a detailed survey map.Notices and eviction orders have been issued to the encroachers accordingly.
Under the direction of K.N. Ramesh,Zonal Commissioner of Mahadevapura Zone,an eviction drive was carried out today in the presence of Executive Engineer,Assistant Executive Engineers,and surveyor from the Revenue Department.
Approximately 1.75 guntas of encroached land were cleared as part of this operation.
The encroached area included a shed, an open space, and a compound wall.These structures were demolished using a JCB machine,and the land has been reclaimed and brought under government control.
Further action is being initiated to serve notices and implement eviction orders for the remaining encroachments.
