The Northeast division cyber crime police on Thursday registered an FIR against conmen who posing as Border Security Force (BSF) officials cheating pharma companies misusing the address and GST of the force .
Based on the complaint filed by Jayanna M,Sub Inspector,BSF Bengaluru,Yelahanka, the police have charged the accused under cheating by impersonation and efforts are on to track them down.
The racket came to light when a representative came to the BSF office on last Monday came to deliver a lab equipment worth Rs.2.3 lakh on August 4 .
Upon inquiry it was revealed that a person by name Kunal Choudhary,claiming to be BSF officer booked the lab equipment misusing the address and the GST details .
Further inquiries revealed that 500 vial of injections used for rabies treatment at the cost of Rs.1.5 lakh and another consignment of 100 vials of injections worth Rs. 27,500 on August 2.
The accused have also shared bank accounts to the company for money transactions,which is being investigated to track down the accused .
