CBI trapped and arrested administrative officer of NIUM while accepting bribe of Rs.50,000 for official favour

The Central Bureau of Investigation on Sunday arrested an Administrative Officer of National Institute of Unani Medicine,Bengaluru under Prevention of Corruption Act, for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.50,000 for an official favour .

A case was registered on complaint against,Nadeem A Siddiqui,Administrative Officer,National Institute of Unani Medicine,Bangalore on the allegations of demanding bribe of Rs.1.10 lakh from the Complainant for clearing bills.

CBI laid a trap and caught the accused red handed while demanding & accepting part amount of bribe of Rs.50,000 from the Complainant.

Searches were conducted at the premises of accused which led to recovery of Rs.2,00,000 .

The accused was produced before the Special Judge for CBI Cases,Bangalore and was remanded to Judicial Custody.
