In preparation for the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to KSR Bengaluru Railway Station on August 10, 2025,Minister of State for Railways (MoSR),V. Somanna, conducted an intensive inspection of the station today.
The visit comes ahead of the much-anticipated flagging off of the Bengaluru–Belagavi Vande Bharat Express by the Prime Minister.
Somanna assessed the preparedness and infrastructure arrangements for the high-profile event,with a particular focus on security measures and crowd management. He was accompanied by Mukul Saran Mathur,General Manager of South Western Railway,and R.S.P.Singh, Principal Chief Security Commissioner/RPF,Hubballi, who provided an overview of the coordinated efforts being undertaken.
To ensure seamless operations and safety during the Prime Minister’s visit,a robust multi-layered security protocol has been put in place.
Teams from the Railway Protection Force (RPF), Government Railway Police (GRP),and Local Police are working in close coordination to secure the premises.
Security has been intensified with the deployment of bomb detection dog squads,Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF) personnel,and additional RPF and GRP staff.
Modern screening equipment such as Door Frame Metal Detectors,Hand-Held Metal Detectors,and baggage scanners have been installed to monitor all passenger movements.
Access control has been tightened at all entry and exit points to ensure the highest level of security.
