Man murders friend’s estranged wife before killing himself on Bengaluru outskirts

A 28-year-old woman was found murdered allegedly by her male friend who later ended his life by hanging at her residence in Thirupalya on Wednesday.

The incident came to light when her parents staying in neighbourhood overheard the commotion and rushed to her help along with others to find her dead in a pool of blood and the accused hanging to the ceiling of the room.

The deceased has been identified as Mandira Mondal and the accused,Suman Mondal.

According to the police Mandira was married to Bijon mondal,eight years ago and the couple with a minor son moved to city from their native West Bengal in search of job.

Probe revealed that the couple separated two years ago and since then Mandira was living wit her son working as labourer,while her parents living in the neighbourhood.

The accused Suman and Bijon were friends and had gone to Andaman to look out for the job. Suman returned recently and visited Mandira on Wednesday while she was alone and her son was with her parents .

The police suspected that the duo had a fight over some issue which resulted in killing of Mandira.

The police are yet to ascertain the reason behind the murder and investigations are on .
