Cab driver held for killing his mother-in-law over family feud in Bengaluru

The Marathahalli police on Tuesday arrested a 35-year-old cab driver who hammed his mother-in-law to death over a family feud.

Senior officer told reporters,The accused has been identified as Nagaraj,who married to Bhagyashri,six years ago and the couple have a child.

During investigation it was found that the accused was alcoholic and used to have frequent fights with wife.

Unable to bear the harassment,she dumped Nagaraj and went to leave with her mother,who eke out a living by selling vegetables an year ago.

Nagaraj used to visit mother-in-law Soubhagya and pester her to send back her daughter and child with him.

On Tuesday following a heated argument Nagaraj who was in inebriated state attacked her with a hammer .

The profusely bleeding Soubhagya was rushed to a private hospital where she succumbed.

Based on the complaint,we have arrested Nagaraj charging him under murder for further investigations is on.
