A 32-year-old woman sustained bullet injury after the pistol misfired at the house of her male friend in Hennur police station limits on Monday .
The injured identified as Rachel,a resident of Cox Town had visited her male friend in Ashirwad Colony in Horamavu and picked up the licensed pistol and played with it went off .
When her friend was inside the washroom,the woman was holding the pistol,and it misfired,and a bullet hit her in the stomach.
Hearing her cries, the friend,who looks after his father’s printing business,rushed out and shifted her to the hospital.
The victim said to be in intensive care unit .
The Hennur police based on the mlc report,rushed to the house and seized the weapon before registered an FIR under Section 125 (Act endangering life or personal safety of others) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and sections of the Arms Act for further investigation .
