Gang of two pretending to be hit by car,robbed a mobile phone from a private company executive after diverting his attention near on Bellary Road on Tuesday.
The victim,Prashanth S,resident of Basaveshwaranagar was heading to golf course from Mekhri circle .
The traffic was heavy and he was moving slowly near the palace gate No 9 on palace ground.
Suddenly two men appeared and one of them constantly banging the left side of the window shouting in Hindi language and showing his leg.
Confused Prashanth roll down the window to check when the other man picked up a phone kept near the gear lever worth Rs.80,000 and sped away.
Prashanth tried to stop and raised alarm for help but the two escaped in the traffic .
The police based on the complaint registered an FIR against two unknown people charging them under theft and cheating under BNS for further investigation.
