Bengaluru Infosys Employee Arrested For Filming Women In Campus Toilet At Electronic City

The Electronic city police on Wednesday arrested a 30-year-old software engineer for filming his female colleagues in the infosys campus washroom on Monday.

Based on the complaint filed by the victim,the police arrested Swapnil Nagesh,a technical analyst charging him under section 66e ( violation of privacy through the capturing, publishing, or transmitting of images of a private area of a person without their consent.) and section 77 ( offense of voyeurism) for further investigations.

The incident came to light when the victim working as technical test lead in Infosys company went to office as part of compulsory working from office .

On Monday she went to office and went to the washroom situated on IQE wing 3rd floor.

She saw a girl coming out of the washroom and saw reflection in the mirror that a man at the adjacent washroom was filming her from the adjacent wasroom.

She climbed up the commode and saw him red handed trying to record her too in his mobile phone standing on the commode.She raised alarm prompting him to escape saying “sorry sorry”.

The victim ran out of the washroom and raised alarm prompting the staff to come to her rescue .

The HR staff reached the staff and caught him and deleted the videos.Since she did not know what to do she went home and narrated the ordeal before approaching the police .

Based on the complaint the police track down Nagesh . The accused according to the police joined the company three months ago .The police retrieved the deleted videos from the Bin .

He had recorded two videos and the mobile has been sent to FSL for a details analysis,a senior office,said .

This incident has raised serious concerns about workplace safety and privacy,prompting calls for stricter monitoring and enforcement within corporate campuses.
