Two dance artiste were killed when a speeding truck knocked them down on Nelamangala Kunigal bypass road in the early hours of Monday.
The deceased have been identified as Sahana,21 and Prajwal, 22,residents of Srirampura and both are working as dance artiste in movies and for private programs .
Senior officer told reporters that the duo had attended a program and returning to the city.Sahana was riding the scooter in rash and negligent manner and Prajwal riding pillion.They were not wearing helmet .
A truck bearing Rajasthan registration heading towards Tumakuru was also in rash and negligent way knocked down the scooter and ran over them.
Due to the impact the scooter was mangled and the duo were killed on the spot.The Nelamangala traffic police have registered a case of death due to negligence and rash driving against the truck driver.The truck driver was arrested and the vehicle seized for further investigation.
