The Cubbon Park police on Tuesday registered an FIR against a woman and her associates for taking away a high end car and other valuables belonging to a city based businessman after assaulting him over a fight over minor accident on Lavelle road on Saturday.
The victim,Vinay Gowda,in his complaint said that he was taking out the Porsche Boxster car from the basement of Purva Grande Apartment,Lavelle Road when his car accidentally touched another car parked on the roadside.
The owner of the car later identified as Deepti Katragadda along with her associates had a verbal duo for damaging her car and assaulted Vinay.
The accused later took away the car along with the valuables including the expensive goggle,wallet and cash kept in the car.
The accused had also taken away his mobile phone which was later handed over to the security guard.
The victim managed to get her number and called to check about his car,but the accused demanded Rs.20 lakh for the damages to return the car .
After waiting for two days,the victim approached the police and filed a complaint.
Based on the complaint,the police registered an FIR against Deepti and others charging them under criminal liability, voluntarily causing hurt, theft,criminal intimidation and intentional insult to provoke the breach of peace for further investigation.
