A 31-year-old software engineer and his mother were killed and three others injured when the car they were travelling crashed into a private bus head on near Gopalli gate in the outskirts in Kencharlahalli police station limits on Sunday.
The deceased have been identified as Dhananjaya Reddy, worked as software engineer at a It company in Bengaluru and his mother Kalavathy, 31.
The injured including wife of Dhanjaya,his daughter and sister in law were admitted to the hospital .
The incident occurred when Dhananjaya was returning home with family after attending a family program at his native Kadapa .
He was negotiating a curve and lost control and crashed into the private bus coming from the opposite directions. Due to the impact the car was toppled and the catched fire .
Dhanjaya was driving the car and his mother seated next to the driver seat were killed and partially burnt.
The other three seated in the back side of the car sustained injuries and rescued by the passers-by and the passengers travelling in the bus.
Few passengers and the driver travelling in the front row of the bus sustained minor injuries in the accident.
The injured were shifted to the hospital and said to be out of danger.
The Kecharlahalli police have registered a case of death due to negligence and rash and negligent driving against the bus driver for further investigations.
