Mahadevapura police arrested trio among man and father and recovered 93 stolen mobile phones worth Rs.30.4 Lakhs

The Mahadevapura police have arrested a 28-year-old bike service station attendant and his associate an autorickshaw driver,red handed and recovered 93 mobile phones which they had robbed from people moving in and around Whitefield area .

The duo was caught red handed following a swift action by police following a mobile robbery case reported on B Narayanapura road on January 15.

The police track down the duo moving on motorc ycle near a private hospital and recovered two mobile phones from them.

The accused have been identified as Mohammed Ahmed Salman,24,a 7th drop out and working as attendant at a bike service station and his associate Sajid Ahmed,30,an autorickshaw driver .

The accused would move around on bike and target people who are moving around with mobile phones and rob them.

The accused would not target I phones as there are high chances of them being caught,the police,said .

The robbed phones the accused would give it to their father Mohammed Umar Farooq,49,a junk shop owner who would sell the robbed mobile phones to his contacts for a price of ₹ 1,000 to ₹ 2,000, the police, said .

The accused would then share the booty and blew the money on vices.Based on their information, the police have recovered 93 mobile phones worth Rs.30. 4 lakh .

The police are now trying to track down the owners of the mobile phones as the police could so far detect only 12 cases,while the rest of them were not even filed complaint,a senior police officer, said.
