Internet Desk: Senior Indian player Ravichandran Ashwin has announced his retirement from the game while the Australia tour (AUS vs IND) is underway. Fans have commented on social media that Ashwin took this decision after being insulted. Cricket analysts have also expressed their opinions. They have commented that it would have been better if he had at least been given the opportunity to play a farewell Test. Recently, Ashwin responded to this on his YouTube channel. He commented that not everything that is thought outside is true, and that fan wars are at an extreme level these days.

“I decided to take a break. That’s why I came in the middle of the series. I didn’t want to talk too much about cricket. That’s why I posted on a few things after the Melbourne and Sydney Tests. I didn’t talk about retirement anywhere. I have to be respected when I’m in the dressing room. The fan war outside has reached a peak now. People are talking in many ways. But there is no truth in it. When I announced my retirement… I felt I had lost my creativity. Sometimes this is natural in cricket. It’s also happy to finish the innings. There is no other reason than that,” said Ashwin.

About that match..

“Personally, I don’t give importance to such farewell matches. It’s not that important. If I am given such an opportunity and taken into the squad… and not given a chance in the final team in the context of the team equations, I will not be happy. However, it is better to end the game before the fans ask why,” Ashwin commented. Ravichandran Ashwin is the second bowler to take the most wickets for India in all formats. He has taken 537 wickets in Tests, 156 wickets in ODIs and 72 wickets in T20s. Ashwin has taken 765 wickets in all three formats. Anil Kumble (953) is ahead of him. Currently, only Ravindra Jadeja (597) and Jasprit Bumrah (443) are in this race.
