19-year-old counselling executive was stabbed to death in a service apartment in Indiranagar on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Maya Gogoi deka, native of Guwahati,Assam.She was working as student counsellor at a Lips caller overseas-HSR layout.
Senior officer along with FSL team visited the spot and after inspecting the spot said,She was found dead on the bed of a room in service apartment with multiple stab injuries suspected to be by her male friend , identified as Aarav Hanoy, 21.Arav is presently on the run and efforts are on to track him down.
The murder took place at The Royal Living,a service apartment building where,the couple had been staying for three days,which was booked under the name of Aarav,the suspect is from Thottadaso Kannur Kerala.
During investigation it was found that the duo checked into the Royal Living service apartment situated at 2nd stage,Indiranagar on Saturday while the accused went outside the hotel on Monday morning.
He further said that the incident came to light when staff of the service apartment complained that foul smell emanating from the locked room and alerted the police.
The Indiranagar police along with the SOCO team rushed to the spot and broke open the door to find the girl lying dead on the bed with multiple stab injuries .
The body had multiple stab injuries and a deep stab injury on the chest which could be the major cause of death.
Preliminary investigation revealed that it was a pre planned murder as the accused had carried old knife with him and also purchased two arm length of nylon rope from online shopping.
The murder could have been committed a day before as the body was slightly decomposed and the accused had suspected to have stayed with the dead body to plan his next course of action.
The police tried to locate him through his mobile network,but the accused had reached a area in the city and switched off the mobile, phone.
Through the bag the police tried to establish the identity of the deceased and informed her sister.The sister of the deceased who is a complainant in the case,told the police that the deceased and the accused known to each other and even the family members are aware of it .
We are trying to track down the accused to ascertain the reason behind the death, the officer,said .
