In view of the severe drought situation prevailing in the State and keeping farmers’ interests in mind,Deputy Chief Minister and Revenue Minister Dr.G. Parameshwara has directed the concerned officials to temporarily withhold the revised fees for various survey applications received from the public under the Mojini system of the Department of Survey,Settlement and Land Records.
As per Government Order No. KAM 170 SSC 2026, Bengaluru, dated 19-09-2026,the fees for various types of survey applications received under the Mojini system, along with the service charges of licensed surveyors, had been revised with effect from 01-10-2026.
However, with several parts of the State currently facing severe drought and farmers already under financial distress, a decision has been taken to temporarily withhold the revised fees so that the increase in survey and revenue service charges does not place an additional burden on them, he said.
He clarified that, until further orders, the fee structure that was in force prior to 01-10-2026 will continue to apply to Mojini services.
“In a crisis such as drought, protecting farmers’interests is the Government’s first priority.Farmers are already facing multiple financial pressures, and Revenue Department services should not add to that burden. Therefore, the revised fees have been temporarily put on hold,” DyCM Dr.G.Parameshwara said.
The State Government will continue to closely monitor the drought situation and the financial condition of farmers.
Once the situation improves,a fresh order regarding revision of the fees will be issued at an appropriate time.
All decisions of the Revenue Department will be taken keeping farmers’ interests and public convenience at the forefront,he said.
