Haveri (Shiggaon):Former minister Rajugowda accused the Congress party of bringing in rental leaders for the Shiggaon-Savanur constituency by-election,showing a lack of faith in their own party workers.
Speaking at an election campaign event in support of BJP candidate Bharat Bommai in Hulagur,he said former CM B.S.Yediyurappa is like a tiger;he doesn’t roar without reason.
The Congress is accusing Yediyurappa and B.Sriramulu of corruption during the COVID period. If they were not there during COVID,none of them would have survived.
Be careful when speaking about leaders like Yediyurappa,Basavaraj Bommai, and Sriramulu,he warned.
He sought to know will we let anyone speak about him when Yediyurappa was attacked when he stood alone? Now,all of them have grown under his leadership.
Even though there is no COVID now,the current Congress government has not managed to cover even a single pothole.
“You are traveling on the roads built by Basavaraj Bommai in the Shiggaon constituency.Seeing the houses built by Bommai makes Congress envious. No other MLA has built as many as 15,000 houses worth five lakhs each for the poor in one constituency”.
Rajugowda reiterated that while the Congress is bringing in rental leaders for their campaign,Basavaraj Bommai has faith in the party workers to manage the campaign.
He assured Basavaraj Bommai that people, impressed by the development work, would elect Bharat Bommai with a huge margin.
