quick response team of Hoysala patrolling team foiled an burglary attempt by armed men at two jewelry stores on avenue road in the early hours of Sunday.
The incident occurred at around 2.00 am when a gang of six to seven masked men approached Sankeshwara and Darmesh Jewelers and broken up the shutter locks .
The accused had disconnected the CCTV connection before breaking open the locks of shutter door locks.A security guard near-by heard the sound and called the control to report the incident.
The incident was flashed on the wireless alerting the Hoysala team stationed near-by to reach the spot .
Within few minutes the vehicle reached and the siren alerted the accused who fled the scene abandoning their plan.
The Halasurgate police reached the spot and conducted a spot inspection before registering a case of attempt to burglary .
The police are now analyzing the CCTV footage from in and around the area to identify the accused.
