Koramangala PG Murder case :Koramangala police filed 1205 pages chargesheet before court

A month after the brutal murder of 24-year-old private firm employee at her Paying Guest accommodation,the Koramangala Police completed the investigation and filed a 1,205-page charge sheet before the court on Saturday.

DCP (South East)Sarah Fathima said that the chargesheet has been filed against the accused 23-year-old Abhishekh Ghosi,a native of Begum Ganj from Madhya Pradesh.

The charge sheet mentions 85 witnesses charging the accused under section 103 (1) (guilty of murder can face either the death penalty or life imprisonment) of BNS .

Soon after filing FIR against the accused on July 24,a special team tracked him down two days later on July 26 from Madhya Pradesh from the bus stop where the accused was about to board a bus to his home town.

The deceased Kriti Kumari,a native of Bihar,was working at a private company became the victim while saving her friend from a bad relationship.

The preliminary probe has revealed that Abhishek was in a relationship with Kriti Kumari’s friend and colleague.

Abhishek used to visit the PG hostel and often travelled to Bengaluru from Bhopal to date his girlfriend.The relationship soured between them,and the victim’s friend started to distance herself from him and took shelter in Kriti Kumari’s PG.

Enraged came in search of his girl friend to the PG hostel and as per premeditated stabbed Kriti Kumari repeatedly with a knife outside her PG room .

The entire incident was recorded in the CCTV footage which also revealed that the other women inmates did not come to the rescue while Kriti Kumar was writhing in pain and shouted for help.

The brutal murder also raised concerns about the safety women prompting the south east division women Squad to conduct awareness campaign .
