Modi – Putin | Washington: America has said that India is a strategic partner for them. It is said that the relationship between the two countries is being taken forward with continuous comprehensive and clear discussions on various issues. It said that they are constantly expressing their concerns about the continuation of the alliance with Russia. Modi’s visit to Russia, (Modi Russia Tour) in the background of bilateral talks with the country’s President Putin, the superpower reacted as above.

America suggested to Modi to mention the war in Ukraine in the talks with Putin ( Vladimir Putin ). Whatever decision Russia takes, it should be made clear to Putin that Ukraine’s regional integrity, sovereignty and UN laws should be respected. Matthew Miller, a spokesman for the superpower’s State Department, said that they would demand the same from any country that maintains relations with Russia.

It is known that Western countries including America have imposed sanctions on Russia against the war against Ukraine . Banned trade and business relations with that country. In particular, the countries of the world were asked to stop oil imports. India did not pay much attention to them. Moreover, Russia provided cheap oil and bought it on a large scale. Although the respective countries objected to this, India did not give in to any pressure in the interests of the country.
