31-year-old private school teacher ended her life by hanging due to alleged harassment by her husband and in-laws at her house in Manjunathnagar in Basaveshwaranagar on Thursday.
The deceased Sandhya,daughter of a retired BMTC driver was married to Jayaprakash, a software engineer five years and the couple had four-year-old son,who had speech and hearing problem.
In his complaint,Kannan T,father of the deceased,said Jayaprakash and his parents used to harass Sandhya frequently blaming her for the child condition .
Sandhya had complained to her parents many times that Jayaprakash and in-laws are humiliating harassing and body shaming her.But every time the parents used to convince her that things will be ok.
The accused had even forced abortion and started harassing her six months ago to repay the car loan which he had bought six months ago.
Unable to bear harassment,Sandhya took the extreme step on Thursday.
The accused called Kannan to inform that Sadhya was admitted to hospital.When Kannan rushed to the hospital he found her dead .
Kannan in her complained that the harassment by husband and in-laws led to the extreme step and sought legal action.
The police have detained Jayaprakash for questioning for further investigations.
