BMTC bus conductor and driver sustained injuries after an armed gang attacked him over a trivial row in KS layout bus stand on Thursday night.
The victim Nagendra,sustained multiple injuries on his head,eyes and left hand,and was admitted to hospital for treatment .
The victim had returned from his night shift to the bus stand late in the night and slept in the bus after parking.
The accused armed with lethal weapons came to the bus stand and created ruckus disturbed Nagendra who was sleeping.
Irritated by getting disturbed sleep,Nagendra shouted at them objecting to the unruly behaviour disturbing the staff.
Enraged by this the gang attacked nagendra after an heated argument and attacked him with a lethal weapon.The accused fled the scene after the other staff rushed to Nagendra’s help.
Based on the complaint the KS Layout police have registered a case of assault against the accused and efforts are on to track them down based on the CCTV footage,a senior police officials said..
