KRV State President Narayana Gowda remanded to judicial custody in connection with protest against use of Hindi imposition on Metro Station Board in Yelachennahalli

Hours after the release from Central Prison of Parappana Agrahara,KRV state president Narayana Gowda,has been remanded to judicial custody on Tuesday.

High drama prevailed outside Parappana Agrahara central prison when Narayana Gowda and his associates were released minutes before he was arrested by KS layout police waiting outside the main gate .

The arrest was part of the non bailable warrant issued by the court in a case related to 2017 where Narayana Gowda and his associates painted the metro station board black in Yelachenahalli to protest against use of Hindi language in the sign boards .

The KS Layout police had arrested Gowda and others and filed a charge-sheet but Gowda was not attending the hearing following which NBW was issued against him.

The KS layout police had produced before the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court after subjecting him for medical examination.

Advocating representing Narayana Gowda moved the bail petition but the court posted the hearing date for tomorrow and ordered the police to remand him to judicial custody.

Considering the security concern,the court may conduct the hearing through video conference on Wednesday.

Meanwhile Halasurgate police are also waiting to seek the custody to question him in a case registered against him recent protest which turned violent.

Elaborate security arrangement has been made outside the central prison and at the court premises .
