First ever biggest drug haul busted by ANW CCB and arrested International Drug dealer and seized 16kgs MDMA and 500 gms cocaine worth Rs.21 Crore

T he Anti-Narcotics wing of the Bengaluru Central Crime Branch (CCB) busted a major drug racket,and arrested a 44-year-old Nigerian National and recovered 16 kilos of MDMA and 500grams of cocaine worth Rs.21 crore from him.

Terming this as a biggest seizure so far,City police Commissioner,B.Dayananda,said that the accused had come to city on business visa and rented a house in Ramamurthynagar for the last one year.

The accused suspected to be part of the bigger network linked to neighbouring states used to source the drugs concealed in parcels and courier hidden in chocolate boxes,soap covers,bedsheets and ready made garments .

We suspect that he was gathering huge amount of drugs ahead of New Year party organizers and others .

A case under NDPS and under foreigners Act has been registered against him in Ramamurthynagar police station for further investigations..

The police have also detained the house owner for failing to inform the jurisdictional police about his tenant and legal action will be initiated against him.

The house owners have been asked to furnish details of their tenants with the jurisdictional police without fail.

The city police have also launched a mobile app recently to help the PG owners,owners of lodges and landlords to upload the details of their tenants and guests voluntarily.
